A Country Doctor
After I read this story, I was doubt whether I can understand this story or not. And when I read this again, I felt that it is so strange and makes me perplexed. The more I read this repeatedly, the more I feel that I can not understand this. The first impression of this story is like a picture, a gloomy picture. This story describes some scenes minutely so I feel as if I see some pictures.
In a brief of this story, there is a country doctor whom a patient was waiting for urgently at night. The doctor’s name is not mentioned and the story develops from the doctor’s narration. The doctor should go to the patient’s house as soon as possible but there are two problems which block the doctor and the patient; one thing is that there was a severe snowstorm and the other thing is that his horse had died the previous night and there is no one who lends him a horse. The only thing he can do is just standing waiting for someone who helps him to get the patient’s house. For…(To be continued )
